Loxo brings its own enriched candidate database, Manatal sources through the browser
Sourcing decides how much a recruiter retypes and how many contacts they can reach. The core question is whether the candidate data lives inside the platform or has to be captured and enriched from outside.
Loxo
Loxo is built around a talent-intelligence database: a large pool of candidates enriched with contact information, plus AI sourcing that surfaces matches and a native email finder. A Chrome extension captures profiles, and outreach can start from the enriched record without a separate enrichment tool. The trade-off is LinkedIn: native LinkedIn messaging is limited and leans on a LinkedIn Recruiter integration rather than a unified inbox, and there is no bulk LinkedIn import.
Manatal
Manatal sources through a Chrome extension with bulk LinkedIn import, including from Recruiter and Sales Navigator lists, plus AI parsing that fills profiles on import and AI candidate recommendations and scoring. What it lacks is Loxo's built-in enriched talent pool: there is no large pre-populated database, and contact discovery is lighter than Loxo's native email finder. For a team that brings its own candidates from LinkedIn, inbound and referrals, that is enough; for a desk that lives off an enriched database, Loxo's pool does more.
Verdict. For a sourcing-first desk, Loxo's enriched database and email finder remove more manual work up front. Manatal imports in bulk from LinkedIn and adds AI recommendations, but expects you to bring the candidates rather than draw them from a built-in pool.
